Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving was so fun!  Jace and I went down to Henderson to celebrate with the Chapmans.  We left on Tuesday and stopped and played my family in St. George for awhile, and then continued on to Henderson.  Grandpa and Grandmother Call were there, too, so it was a fun, full, house!  We immediately set to work cooking and baking up a storm.  Brooke and Steve got there a few days later and the feast was AWESOME!  We had a deep fried turkey and an oven baked turkey.

Both were fantastic!  And we had so many pies that I think a bunch were thrown away in the end because no one could eat them fast enough.  One of my favorites was an Apple Cream Pie.  The recipe has been in the Call family for generations– I had never had it before (or even heard of it) but boy oh boy is it good!  We had a blast shopping, playing Rook all night, and eating delicious food.

On Satuday we went to the Wynn Buffet in Las Vegas.  Holy cow.  That place is amazing.  It is one of the best buffet’s in Vegas with all you can eat steak, giant crab legs, and a dessert buffet that would make you weak in the knees.  Amazing.  We got pictures with Santa the next day and bought matching PJ’s.  Oh, when we went to get Santa pictures, I gave my keys to mom since I didn’t have a purse.  Everyone left but a few of us stayed behind so we could do some more shopping.

After shopping, we walked out to the car, and realized that we had sent the bag with the keys in it home in a different car!!  So we were stranded at the mall until someone could bring us the keys!  haha  We were all dying of starvation, and thankfully I had just bought a giant bag of gummy bears that we subsisted off of until someone could save us.  We also picked out a gorgeous Christmas tree and decorated it.  We had a great time!  Thanks for making it so memorable everyone!
