Stinky feet!

A bunch of people were sitting in the living room chatting.  Jace came walking in with a little doll he was playing with.

Grandpa:  Is that a boy doll or a girl doll?

Jace: It’s a boy.

Grandpa: How do you know?

Jace got a confused look on his face, then resolutely turned the doll upside down, took off it’s little shoe, and explained very matter of fact, “Stinky feet.”

haha!

Save Money. Live Better. Walmart.

We were driving the other day to the mall.  Grandma said something about saving money, and then all of a sudden Jace’s teenie tiny voice rang out resolute and clear from the back seat, “Save money.  Live better.  Wal-Mart.”  HE IS SO CUTE!

How to Make Fabric Flowers

Lately I have been LOVING fabric flower accessories.  I usually just get mine from Forever 21 because they are cheap and cute, but I have been seeing soooo many cute ones and Forever 21 just isn’t currently delivering so I went on a quest to figure out how to make my own. Well, I was at my friend’s house today and low and behold, sitting next to her couch was an entire crate (yes, a CRATE) FULL of fabric flowers that she makes!  They are soooo cute!  And she says they each take about 5-10 minutes!  So then I was resolved to find some cute flower tutorials so I can have crates around my house just filled for the picking!

I found these tutorials and I think with the right fabrics they would just be fabulous.  This is my favorite and this is my other favorite and this is my final favorite.  I love it when they have satin overlaid with netting.  Holy cow, once I have a little girl that kid is just going to be plastered with flowers and roses head to toe.

You look like you’re getting ready to die.

Jace and I were at Wal-Mart the other day when this cute little wrinkled up old man came up to Jace and I and started telling me how handsome Jace was.  Jace looked back and him and said, “You look wrinkly like you are getting ready to die.”

Oh goodness.

What are YOU thankful for?

I’m thankful that Trevor is alive and well in Ukraine, that Jace is the cutest thing in the universe, and for the beautiful mountains and falling leaves out my window.

I have NO idea what he was talking about in that video, and neither did he– he wanted to do it again.

SUPER-HERO-BOY!

Jace’s new favorite show is “Super Readers”  actually, I don’t think that is what it is called, but that is what Jace calls it and for the life of me I can’t think of the actual name.  It is a show on PBS about these four superheroes who save the storybook world through spelling words.  Jace LOVES it.  For the past three weeks now, he requests that I refer to him only as “Superheroboy”.  And he runs through the house clad only in his underwear (he always did that before, but now he has a reason for it) yelling, “Superheroboy to the rescue!!!!”  As he extends one fist high in the air and puts the other on his hip as he dashes around.  HE IS SO CUTE!!!!

On another note, Trevor is in Ukraine now and doing really well!  He is having a blast and accomplishing ALOT for work.  He’s da MAN!!!  However, Trevor is the life of our party, and we are quickly running out of fun ways to entertain ourselves.  Come back and entertain us, Trevor!!  You are so fun!!   However, my faithful friends Brittany, Ashley, and Jessica have been coming over with their cute babies almost every day to keep us company, so that has been super fun; it feels like highschool again– in a daycare!  I love it!

Other than that, everything else is same ol’ same ol’!  Oh, except the latest episode of “The Office” is HILARIOUS!!!!  If you missed it, check it out here.  It’s the one titled “Murder”.  Too hilarious.  You can tell we are getting bored if I blog about TV shows…. Alas!  That’s it for now!  Until next time!

I just posted this then realized I should put up pics from this past weekend!  My Nani flew in from Kentucky for a two week visit, so Jace and I went down last Friday and Stayed until Monday so we could visit with her.  It was so fun!  She is the cutest person ever– she is only 4′10″, has a thick Kentucky drawl, and is a little spitfire.  She’s the cutest!!!

The last time Jace saw her, he was only 6 weeks old, so this was his first time really meeting her.  He loved her and had a blast showing her pictures and drawing for her and showing off.  I am really happy he now knows her and can talk about her!

I now have to show off on my little brother.  This is my 9 year old brother Boe, and he is the sweetest little guy ever.  He is a pro wrestler and has only lost one match in his LIFE.  He had a tournament while Nani was here.  She went and cheered him on.  He won the tournament, and gave her his metal!  Is he so sweet or what?  I love that little guy!

The fam sending Nani off to the airport.  I swear I really do have an attractive family– it was just 6am and we are NOT morning people.  They will all throw fits if they see this– haha!

The rest of the trip was spent like this.  Jace played Halo with the boys nonstop and even stayed up by himself playing Halo after everyone else went to bed.  haha  When he was done, he would turn off the Xbox and come into my room, climb into bed, and fall asleep.  He is such a big boy!!!!

And this is how he watches TV lately.   I got him this little couch/bed thing.  During the day it folds into a couch, at night you pull it out into a little bed.  He pulls it into the living room when he wants to watch TV and he climbs down between the cushion so he is in a little box.  He then has me come nock on his “door” (the cushion he folds over himself) every 2 or 3 minutes so he can push the door open and pretend to be whatever animal he was just watching.  He cracks me up.
