This is how he stands for a lot of the day– just making sure the people outside are doing what they should.
This morning I was in the back room when all of a sudden I heard shrieks of pure agony from Jace. I immediately jumped to my feet and went running to the front room thinking he had pulled the kitchen table down on himself and was screaming though crushed lungs. I came sprinting in to find him at the front room window looking out, screaming, “MY CAR!!!! NO TAKE JACE CAR!!!!!!” And just BAWLING his eyes out.
What had happened was Trevor let one of his employees take our car to run some errands. Jace saw the guy get in our car and take off, and he thought he was stealing it. What a GOOD little watch-dog-baby I have! Only when I assured him that “Daddy said it was OK, and Mike will bring it right back” did his screams of agony subside. He is so precious!

When I first had Jace he was just a parasite that I loved like crazy. It was kind of like a really cute guinea pig– they are so cute and you love to hold them, but they don’t really give much back and they just guzzle all your time, energy, and resources. Continue reading ‘My Little Boyfriend’
My dad-in-law just started a blog and it’s GREAT! It is http://hiswondersinthedeep.blogspot.com and it is nautical meets gospel. I LOVE it! Check it out!

Today was a day that was very long and coming– I harvested my first crop of wheatgrass! The grass was between 6-8″ tall and the container has about a 1.5′ diameter and I got 8 oz of juice from one. IT WAS SO FUN! From first sprouting the seeds to the harvest was about 10 days.
I juiced 8 oz, but Trevor was rushing out the door and didn’t drink his, so I decided I had to drink both of our portions– 4oz– and now I am a little sick… you kind of have to build up a tolerance to the stuff. Continue reading ‘My first wheatgrass harvest!’
I have started growing my own wheatgrass and it is SOOOO fun! Trevor and I would always get wheatgrass juice shots when we went to the healthfood store, but I never even considered growing and juicing it myself. Well, after going to Alaska, I am hooked! I bought a juicer and while it was being shipped I started a thing of wheatgrass and it is THRIVING!!! I can harvest it in 3 more days when it is 6-8″ tall. Here is a list of health benefits. It is a superfood that many claim have cured them of cancer. Amazing!
So, I am going to grow seven flats and harvest one per day and replant one per day. It is SOOOO fulfilling to watch my wheatgrass grow! I grew these from just your ordinary wheat seeds that you normally just grind into flour and now, 7 days later, they are 4″ tall!
Valentines day was SO much fun! We dropped Jace off at the Chapmans in Vegas and then went to the strip and had a blast! We went to the Fashion Place mall to find Trevor the perfect outfit for our date at Treasure Island the next day. He wanted a black button up that fit perfectly. Two hours and almost every single store in the entire mall later, we finally found it at Zaras. I had never been in there, but holy cow, that is one AWESOME store! They have really classy stuff for guys and it is not outrageously expensive. Anyway, then we got Chinese and ate it at the Forums in Caesars Palace. Continue reading ‘Valentines in VEGAS!’
