My mom’s friend, Lonni Clark, is a professional artist. She is amazing. The LDS Church is always commissioning her to do all kinds of art for them and she is world renowned– you probably have a picture done by her in your house right now. Amazing. Anyway, she is going to be doing a painting for Christmas of Mary in Jerusalem and she asked me to be the model for Mary!!!! I AM SO EXCITED!!!
I just got back from doing the photoshoot and she had made this stunning costume, I had a pregnancy pillow under my dress, and there was even a real live donkey that I posed with. The donkey was a little wild so we ended up just shooting me and then just him and then she will paint the two together, but it was AWESOME! I can not wait to have a painting of me as Mary in my home for the rest of my life. Could anything be more awesome? Here are a few of the photos and she, of course, is going to make it spectacular. She wants to have it done by January for a huge art show that is happening here in St. George so I will keep you updated. Isn’t that awesome?
It seems it has been an eternity since we last posted! So much has been happening in the last couple weeks that I haven’t even had a chance to think about blogging! But here is a quick run down. I flew to Las Vegas from Florida on November 20th with Jace. After playing with my Chapman family for a couple days, we headed down to my family’s house in St. George for Thanksgiving. I got there on Nov 24th and then Trevor arrived the next day. He drove 36 hours STRAIGHT from Florida! He is seriously super human!
Trevor had stayed behind in Florida so he could buy a bus and convert it into an awesome summer sales recruiting bus, but he was going to have to drive it all the way to California for alot of the work that had to be done on it, so we decided it would be best to just purchase one in California and do all the work there. So he drove our Prius back to Utah much earlier than anticipated so he didn’t have to do all the bus work in Florida.
